Job Description

Purpose

A Technical Trainer plans and conducts new and existing KONE methods trainings to field operatives, and proactively prepares the operatives for coming product and service changes impacting methods and tools. S/he identifies competence development needs (together with business and function stakeholders, supervisors and troubleshooters), and develops and localizes technical trainings to various target groups. Field Trainer enables and supports the field operatives to achieve KONE safety and quality standards, to fulfil customer expectations and to reach productivity targets.

Communication

  1. Liaise with other Field Trainers to combine experience and share information relating to all aspects  of Safety and Method issues.
  2. Take part in Field reference group meetings as directed by the line manager.
  3. Provide the link between the fitters and technical support functions (both local and Global) in order to  achieve timely solutions to problems. 
  4. Promote ideas for improvements to products and methods from  field operatives to be presented to the relevant departments.

Technical Information

  1. Track changes to codes and ensure changes are communicated to the fitters and other field trainers  (as directed by the line manager).
  2. Maintain technical training data, Field letters and product related documentation (AM instructions) to  latest issue available (as directed by the line manager).

Method training

  1. Facilitate and co-ordinate the actions, processes and procedures required to ensure the effective  management of safety and environmental issues within the business.
  2. Run classroom type training days and periodical refresh updates (“Tool Box Talks”).
  3. Provide “on site” training to installation fitters.
  4. Provide “Site readiness” and “laser survey” training to installation Supervisors.
  5. Assess and provide training nominations.
  6. Co-ordinate training and education on safety related matters.
  7. New operative induction monitoring.
  8. Liaison with Global Installation and central health and safety advisory team.
  9. Facilitate effectiveness of local health and safety committees
  10. Conduct site inspections and audits.
  11. Ensure adherence to Company standards/policies.
  12. Provide, with support, expert advise on health, safety and environmental legislative matters.
  13. Conduct accident/incident analysis and implement corrective action (with support).
  14. Carry out regular inspection of PPE equipment.
  15. Carry out Sub contractor standards review.
  16. Maintain and update training records.
  17. Participate in Field reference group meetings (as required by the line manager) for the purpose of contributing to evaluation of training material, methodology and feedback of suggestions and ideas  from the frontline installers.

 

Job Requirement

  • Degree in mechanical, electrical or related engineering disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 year working experience. 
  • Experience from construction, IT or manufacturing industries are required.
  • Experience in elevator industry is preferred. 
  • Digital foundation skills are required.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese and fair English.
  • Working time: Monday to Friday
